Todd Heggestad

President's Drift

Fall 2014

For the Upper Midwest Council this fall will be the time to plan activities for the upcoming year.  I have had a chance to travel to Chicago and to the Green Bay area to visit with members.  There will be a meeting in Minneapolis on November 8th, 2014 at the Bloomington REI store from 6 to 8 pm to meet with IFFF members and do some brainstorming on events.  In particular planning casting tying and fishing events.  As an option I would like to consider a fly fishing school to potentially be held in July 2015.  Your ideas and support as will as involvement would be welcome.

The Upper Midwest Council is still in need of volunteers for board positions.   In particular a vice president and secretary.  Representatives from the clubs in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois are also needed.  Please contact me if you have any interest or questions.  We are in the growing stage and working on establishing our presence.  So far, the Minnesota region has had the most interest hence the activities that we have sponsored have occurred in Minnesota.  But we do cover Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.  If you have ideas, contact me.

Drop me an email, text or phone call if you have questions or if you would like to provide input. Thanks.

Todd Heggestad, President
