Phil Greenlee, Fly Fishing Federation President, Will Speak at Florida Fly Expo in Crystal River
The number of fly fishing enthusiasts is growing worldwide, but nowhere so quickly as Florida. The man who has presided over much of that growth will outline a path for continued growth by inviting all women to join the fly fishing movement.

Crystal River, Florida -- Phil Greenlee of Redding, California, president of the International Federation of Fly Fishers (IFFF), will speak at the 2014 Florida Fly Fishing Expo in Crystal River, Florida Oct. 10-11 and issue an invitation for all women around the world to take up fly fishing.

Greenlee spoke to Florida fly fishers and other anglers attending the two-day Expo at Plantation on Crystal River. IFFF's Florida Council sponsored the event. It featured new product displays by fly fishing gear companies plus skill improvement workshops by more than 50 experts including classes by Bob Clouser of Clouser Deep Minnow fame and Wanda Taylor, the first woman to be certified as a Master Casting Instructor by the IFFF.

"Phil Greenlee is untiring in his pursuit of advancing the sport of fly fishing worldwide," said Tom Gadacz, president of IFFF's Florida Council. "Phil's coming to our fifth annual Expo puts a terrific exclamation point on Florida's amazing fly fishing story which is a story of a half-century of steady growth in saltwater and freshwater fisheries."

Greenlee, a retired businessman and a committed fly fisher all of his adult life, has been president of IFFF since 2009. Founded by Lee Wulff, Ted Trueblood, Ed Zern and others in 1965, IFFF has grown to 13,000 dues-paying members.
